“My original works are created from my Old Town studio in the beautiful historic heart of Innsbruck, where the rugged peaks of the Nordkette mountains meet the colorful history of the Altstadt. My style is defined by loose, intuitive brushstrokes, in an effort to interpret the experiential mood and feeling of the subject rather than photographic details. Whether a cityscape, a simple historic architectural detail, or a view of our spectacular mountains, I work to capture the shifting Alpine light and moments in time, the peace (or energy) of my subjects. My wish is that my artwork will bring a breath of fresh Tirolean mountain air, and peaceful memories of Austria, into your home.”

Originally from Florida, Roy was the owner and principal designer of several interior design firms in Mississippi and Florida before developing a body of coastal-themed artwork from his Florida beach studio. Roy moved to Austria with his spouse and pets in 2023 to make Innsbruck his forever home after a lifelong love affair with Tirol and Western Europe.
