Cerulean Interiors and Roy C. Eure, Jr., ASID, Interior Designer
Cerulean Interiors LLC opened in Spring of 2011. Prior to Cerulean Interiors, Roy owned Roy Calvin Eure Interior Design
LLC which opened for business in August of 2005 in Historic Downtown Hattiesburg, MS. Prior to opening his first
independent practice, Roy had the privilege of working for several well known Memphis design firms. His experience and
training includes the direction of William R. Eubanks, Interior Designer, of William R. Eubanks Interior Design Inc. with offices
in Memphis, Palm Beach and New York City.
Roy hold degrees in both Interior Design (Univ of Southern Miss, 2002) and Sculpture, with an emphasis in Furniture Design
(Memphis Coll of Art, 1998). He has achieved Certification from the National Council for Interior Design Qualification, and is a
professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers.
"Beyond holding two degrees in art and design, I have trained and worked in art and design related occupations for most of
my life. During my childhood, I would regularly entertain my father by rearranging our family's, and unsuspecting other's
families', furniture at home. Prior to my interior design career, I was employed as an advertising copy editor, a fashion
merchandiser, an architectural draftsman and the framer of fine art in addition to my training in music, classical dance,
painting & drawing, sculpture and
furniture design. The design of an interior environment, specifically, is rewarding for me due to the
multifaceted challenge of each new project. It is a composition in three dimensions, like sculpture
really, yet with a myriad and unique set of functional requirements which must be considered for
the space to be successful."
Roy's family relocated to Florida in 2009 as a result of obligations to family. Once an annual vacationer
to the communities of Hwy. 30A, he has embraced the Florida panhandle as his new home. An enthusiast
of the Craftsman and American Arts and Crafts periods, he enthusiastically makes his home in the
beautiful Wild Heron community which borders Lake Powell. He has served upon multiple committees
and boards of several historic neighborhoods, been a mayoral appointee of a municipal architectural conservation
committee, a regional chapter officer of the American Society of Interior Designers
and upon the board of the Univ of Southern Missippi's Partners for the Arts.
